We are very proud to share that on December 9, 2013, Summit Place Financial Advisors was named “Emerging Business of the Year” for 2013 by NJBIZ. We have built a great team and it is gratifying to be recognized as the Garden State’s most dynamic and promising business this year. It is an important milestone for us and a tribute to New Jersey’s support for emerging businesses.
In a profile, NJBIZ praised Summit Place for identifying an underserved wealth management market and “launching Summit Place Financial Advisors despite the turmoil shaking financial markets at the time… the same day in 2008 that Lehman Brothers declared bankruptcy.” The key to our success is a clear vision of our niche client. By focusing on highly successful clients with complex financial needs we have been able to grow robustly and create a unique identity for our services in a crowded financial marketplace.
The announcement was made at a special awards gala attended by 300 New Jersey business leaders and NJBIZ staff and sponsored by EisnerAmper, Sun National Bank, K&L Gates, and Comcast Business. We are excited to end a strong year in the market by sharing this equally exciting news about the firm with you.

During the nomination process, companies and individuals can nominate themselves or others for the various categories. Nominees are asked to describe their company’s history, growth, leadership, accomplishments, challenges, and community involvement. To be eligible, a nominee’s business must have its headquarters or significant operations in New Jersey. Qualifying criteria for each category includes leadership, innovation, and growth. After the nominations are collected, a distinguished and independent panel of judges reviews and scores each nomination. Finally, the winner of each category is revealed at the Business of the Year awards event.
